the moon loves you even on your bad days

This... Puts it in amazing terms.
Like $250,000 to me is a house. A whole ass house. Paid off, no mortgage.
And to a billionaire it's the equivalent of me buying a fancy iced coffee.
Damn.

i genuinely dont care if the creation of all media comes to a screeching halt btw i will very gladly live with no new movies no new tv shows no new anything for years if that's what it takes for the people who create them to be treated like human beings. i hope every other facet of the entertainment industry goes on strike too and i hope all the ones that havent unionised yet will. i want media creation to become completely impossible and i want the people who could make it possible again to hold out until they get every single thing they want. btw
Either you're frolicking in this field with me or you're frolicking in this field against me.
“oh they’re not taking away chronological dashboard, well everything’s okay then” they also said in the post they’re making reblogs collapsed (like comments on twitter) so you won’t see the full conversation in a post. they also won’t get rid of tumblr live despite it being an annoying and cancerous data-miner that isn’t legal in much of the world. they won’t even let you opt out of tumblr live for more than seven days. they implemented a terrible photo viewer that mimics tiktok and makes it so you can’t zoom in on images. they took away the ability to view prev tags. they’re making it so you have to sign in with your email to view almost any thing on tumblr. they’ve already made it so you have to sign in to send asks, even on anon. they’re slowly phasing out custom blog themes.
the things that make tumblr at all usable and favored by us– the older web blog features, the anonymity– that is still being taken away. it HAS been being taken away for some time now. i am urging you people to reveiwbomb the tumblr app. force them to acknowledge that users do not like these changes.
Good news! You can let Tumblr Staff know what you think about every version of Tumblr in a way that they might listen to! Here is a long survey from a blog associated with Staff and here is a short survey from the same blog. The blog, although full of surveys, does not allow reblogs. However, I took the long survey and later they improved one thing I complained about, so there is a chance more people complaining about changes could halt their enshittification. I cannot retake the surveys, so I must ask you all to send feedback where I cannot.
Pasting these links all at the end too for ease of access:

i fuckin love a survey I tell you what
Oh look, it’s those surveys staff say they run but which I’ve never seen.
Oh okay so it's good then
Even going outside the context of the barbie movie, it is truly incredible that they could write that last part and try to frame it as a bad thing
My hometown flooded Monday night.
Vermont has flooded.
My family and home are fine because the 7.8 inches of rain that fell in a day didn’t cause our house to slide of the ridge it sits on, but less than a thousand feet away roads have been washed out and homes are being condemned. Yesterday, our congressional delegation, the governor, and a FEMA representative, toured the town - focusing on the non-profit cat cafe turned hazardous waste site thanks to a basement full of red diesel fuel and the neighborhood that includes a ten story, low income, senior and disabled apartment building where the blacktop of the road lifted and peeled away in huge sheets. There is still only one route out of town to the interstate due to landslides and flooding. In every direction I can point to there are towns going through similar things. Our capitol, Montpelier, flooded causing most of the state government to shut down and move essential operations to a nearby airport. Many farms were in the path of flood waters and lost most of their crops. Vermont has the second largest population of unhoused people per capita, second to California, with many of them camping in the woods along our rivers. They have lost everything.
In short, we need help.
I gathered some resources if you need an updated news source or are able to donate.
It’s raining again.
I’ve also collected some photos of the flooding and it’s aftermath
It’s started raining again. We may get another two inches.
Please donate if you are able and share this post to help our brave little state.
ok thats enough sun now. turn that temperature down brother
How Long Do You Usually Shower?
More Than An Hour
Between 30 Mins & An Hour
Between 15 & 30 Mins
Between 5 & 15 Mins
Less Than 5 Mins
So my girlfriend's girlfriend, (an Australian) and I (Murican) were talking about showers, and a bit of culture shock ensued, so now I'm making this poll. If you vote, please reblog with your answer and where you're from in the tags, I'm really curious if this is a culture thing, or if there's something else going on.

Been doing some editing and noticed i described head movements a lot. "He jerked his head up", "startled by the sound, she looked left".
I typically don't think about it, but a friend recently mentioned one of the reasons she has to wear contacts instead of glasses is because she never learned to turn her head. She darts her eyes left, they suddenly don't have focused vision, and she gets dizzy. By contrast, I do wear glasses and so to look left, i have to turn my whole head because glasses only cover forward vision.
I've had glasses since 4th grade, so never really thought about it, but now after talking to my friend I'm hyper aware of not only my actions but what I have my characters do too. It's always fascinating, to see what of me goes into writing, but this is a habit i wasn't even aware of.
I'm curious, when *you* look to the left, how do you do it?
i turn my head to the left (i wear glasses)
i turn my head to the left (i don't wear glasses)
i move my eyes to the left (i wear glasses)
i move my eyes to the left (i don't wear glasses)
i never look left. ever.

I've worn glasses since before I could read, so I never really thought about turning my head to look at something or not... I do still glance to the side sometimes (as one does on occasion), and I'm just used to my vision being partly in focus and partly blurry, I guess. It doesn't seem odd to me, or mess with my equilibrium.
When I was in Junior High, I took an art class and we had to do self-portraits. I spent quite a bit of time on my glasses, and how the outer edges of the lenses bent the light so that it looked like little curved slices of whiteness instead of just being clear.
if a label is too restrictive for you, then idk to me the obvious answer is: maybe that specific label just isn’t for you. there are plenty of others that might suit you better, or you could even use none at all if you prefer not to feel restricted by labels and definitions. not “this label’s widely understood meaning should now change just to include me actually”
Being a writer is just 97% googling words to make sure they mean exactly what you always assumed they meant.

i have three responses to "how is your writing going"
1) it's not
2) it's going
3) i am ENTHUSED. i have been BLESSED with the POWER of the MUSES. i am an UNSTOPPABLE FORCE OF CREATION i am the MOST ULTIMATE OF ALL WRITERS
